Hairy Situation

Lately I have been trying to think of creative ways to do Isabella's hair. Up until now I have had a pretty good handle on the bi-racial hair situation. Thankfully she has soft curls which I am pretty sure will stay that way.

The problem is this: She has so much of it.

Seriously, It comes down to her shoulder blades when wet, and when dry, it's usually a huge Afro. This hair stage of her life is a tricky one for me. She enjoys rubbing her head an the couch, carpet or really anything, which makes it super frizzy.
My personal favorite is when she runs her finger's through her hair when they are, of course, covered in such foods as yogurt, spaghetti sauce, and worse, peanut butter...its lovely!

So if anyone has any suggestions on this hairy situation please feel free to send them my way.

For now, here are some fun pictures of Bella and the progression of her hair!

This is Bella as a brand new baby, and a full head of
straight black hair.

Bella at about a week old...ya a week...I know, she doesn't look like a newborn.

This will always and forever be my favorite picture of Bella and her Daddy (even though the lighting is really bad). Look...they even have the same hair style! She is just a few weeks old here and the curls have started to set in.

Hair is getting longer and cheeks chubbier.

And so it begins...

Bella at about 7 months

Lovin' it!

This is Bella at nine months. This is her cute hair, not combed out of course.
Combing after air drying = big fro.

Fast forward to 19 months and here's Bella with what else? Yogurt!

And for the big finale... this was taken a month ago. Don't you just love it!!

Don't worry people it's not like we never do anything with her hair...It's just usually we end up with a face like this...

No actually it's more like this...

And here is my little lady shocked and ashamed that her mother would ever post such a thing!!

Oh, how I Love this girl!

Holly, I LOVE your posts. You are too funny. I've started a blog. It's kind of boring now, but it's a work in progress. I can't find my camera. :(
