I am such a slacker...
I have totally neglected this blog lately...but really...I've had a good reason!
Anyways I felt like it was time to add a little something since...well...bella had surgery a week and a half ago and I've just left you hanging!
She is doing great! Her surgery went really well. It was, of course, extremely difficult to walk her into the Operating Room and have to leave her there! Those darn tears freely flowed down my cheeks as I kissed my little girl and walked away. After about and hour and a half they brought her back to us. She was really out of it and just slept in my lap for about an hour. Something I totally cherished...especially coming from a little girl who doesn't sit still for longer than 30 seconds...it was nice to have some time to snuggle.
After a bit she woke up, ate about three pop cycles and was totally herself...believe me it shocked us and even more the nursing staff. We were able to go home a few hours later because she was doing so well.
Her doing so well only lasted until that night. The next several days were hard. But she is mostly better now. some days are better than others, but I can already tell a difference in her breathing. We are just glad to have this out of the way.
Thank you for all the phone calls, emails and fun things sent in the mail for her. It is so comforting to know how many people were concerned for our little Bella!

I'm so glad to hear it went well!! And that you got some good snuggle time with her. Those moments are few and far between for me too, so I can appreciate when you say how much you cherished it.

There you are. I've been waiting for you to update your blog. I'm glad you're already starting to see improvements in her breathing. Hopefully that means a lot more sleep for everyone. :)
We need to get together soon.
Okay, she is seriously tough!! I was 8 when I had my tonsils removed and I was in pain and cranky for weeks, even with all of the popcicles and ice cream I got to eat! What a cute little trooper she is!!! :)
I'm glad it went well. My son had the same surgery and now my daughter has to. Fun times. I'm glad it is over for Bella and that she is feeling better!
