This past weekend we got to spend some time with an incredible woman.Isabella's birth mother...our sweet Michon!
Oh how we love her!
We hadn't seen her in almost a year, and my heart was to the point of overflowing with happiness when I watched Michon and Bella together.
How grateful my little family is for such a miracle as this.
I stand in awe and wonder when I think of the selfless sacrifice that she made for our little girl.
It amazes me...still.
We love adoption...
We love open adoption...
It's hard to believe that somewhere out there is another birth mother as incredible as Michon, who is willing to put her trust in us...it seems almost impossible that we could be blessed beyond measure twice..
...but we have to believe we will..

How beautiful!! It's great that she comes to visit and that she's still in Bella's life!! She is awesome for giving Bella to such amazing people...you guys are great parents!!! Such a beautiful story with such a happy ending! :)
It is so overwhelming to think about!
It still overwhelmes me that we were even blessed enough to be chosen once, yet just yesterday McCoy's birmother told me that I am the perfect Mom for him and that it makes her so happy that he is with us.
I am so glad that Bella and you were able to spend time with Michon! Those moments are so precious!
It must be really nice to have great relationship with Michon.

Holly, I think it is amazing that you have a relationship with Bella's birth mom. My brother has a friend who is adopted, and he wants to know his birth mom. Bella is lucky to have so many people around that love her so much!
I'm glad you guys had a good visit with Michon. Are you getting ready to adopt again? I hope the process goes as quick and smoothly as it did with Bella. We'll be praying for you, as always.

Hi! I am new to blogging, but I came across yours, and wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading it. My husband and I have a two month old baby girl who we have just adopted. We, too, are in an open adoption. And it is awe-inspiring to think another woman would pick us to raise her first born. Our daughter is also biracial, and I have enjoyed seeing pictures of your little one. It give me an idea of what to expect in the future :-)

Hey are you guys adopting again? I hope so! The adoption agency we got Elias through contacted us in June and said his birthmom is preg again and they want us to adopt him. The only problem is they want $40k to do it!! We have exausted all of our recourses and are not able to come up with that kind of cash, so this week the agency said they know of some charities that have help others out in the past with adopting kids and they are going to contact them, so we have our fingers crossed. Your daughter is soooo beautiful! I really hope you guys adopt another!
