We finally got the results to Isabella's Sleep study. During the study she had two full episodes of apnea...where she completely stopped breathing for an extended period of time...and several partial apnea's.
So basically Bella can either wear a CPAP machine or have her tonsils and adenoids removed.
Since getting my two year old to actually wear a CPAP machine would be a complete joke, we're opting for the surgery. We meet with the ENT on the 26th of this month.
I am extremely grateful that we had a doctor who actually listened to us. I can't tell you how many times I have been told that her sleeping problems are just a phase... let her cry it out...or read this book or that. I appreciate the advice offered but I have come to know a mother's intuition is a very powerful thing. Never second guess it.

I totally know what you mean about mother's intuition!! I'm so glad you guys found some help and that they found out exactly what the problem was. Isn't it so nice to finally know it isn't just something you're doing (or not doing)? Good luck with the surgery!
I'm so glad that you were able to get answers and be able to solve the problem! Amen to mother's intuition! :)
I'm glad you found both an explination and a solution to your problem. What a relief!
What a relief to finally have some answers. I hope everything goes well and that you will finally get some restful nights.
My little girl has the same problem! We are going to the same Dr. who took out my son's tonsils in 2 weeks! I knew she was getting up a lot at night, but it wasn't until I took her to the dentist that I knew she needed them looked at. He's like "wow, they are huge" fun.
I'm so glad that you found a doctor who took you seriously. We finally found one for Cam as well with his ear infections. He kept getting them over and over again and it turned out that it was staph in his ear. How do you even get staph in your ear in the first place. I hate it when you know something isn't right and the Doctors keep telling you that it's nothing when you know deep down inside that something more is going on. Good luck with everything. Keep us posted!
