It's been a crazy couple of weeks. We survived the Artic Blast. Over the span of two weeks we accumulated almost a foot of snow.

All this snow made it almost impossible to go anywhere due to all the hills here, as well as the unplowed roads...so unfortunately our Christmas cards never made it to the mail box...last minute gifts were never purchased...and the trek down to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas dinner almost didn't happen...
Thank goodness I married a man who has some serious skills when it comes to driving in the snow!
After about 4 days of being snowed in, serious cabin fever was beginning to set in, so we had to do something to keep from going crazy...

We built lots and lots...and lots of train tracks with Bella's new Geo Trax. We've tried to see who can come up with the most elaborate track...Me...or...Jared. Bella just likes taking apart what we've put together.

We even made a hop scotch in her bedroom out of green painting tape...2 weeks later it's still there.
Finally it started to thaw out around here a few days after Christmas. Things are pretty much back to normal. Our Holiday was great despite the crazy weather. It was Bella's first White Christmas. (Hope she enjoyed it cuz it most likely won't happen again for some time). Bella received more presents than any one child could ever need, but we are so grateful for all the wonderful gifts from loved ones.
We didn't do much for New Years. Isabella went to bed early and Jared and I actually stayed up past midnight this year playing our new Wii game...
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.
And this Last picture is just cuz she's so cute sporting her new jacket from Michon and her family.

Hope you all had a Happy New Year!
We are excited for what 2009 has in store for us...it's going to be a fantastic year!

I miss you guys, hopefully we will be able to come next Christmas, but I don't see us coming any sooner than that:( love you guys:)
You're so creative making hopscotch with tape in her room! I love that idea. And she looks adorable in her coat. I'm glad you guys had a good Christmas, despite all the crazy weather!
Living in Utah for a few years will give anyone serious snow driving skills :) We got about 3 feet of snow up in Bountiful. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without a good amount of snow!
