Five Wonderful Years...

This is a story about a shaggy haired, guitar playing boy and an awkward and shy girl. They were both 16 years old, attending a stake youth dance, when a mutual friend introduced the two. They quickly became friends, hanging out at church activities and dances. This continued until their Senior year of High School, then they parted ways. The Boy would go on to serve a mission on the East coast and attend college at Brigham Young University. The Girl would go on to attend college in Idaho then moved to Salt Lake City. Many years would pass before these two friends would cross paths again.

Eventually the spring of 2002 arrived. The Girl was visiting home for a friends wedding when she decided to venture to the mall. This is where the two would be reunited...at a store in the mall where the Boy was working for the summer. At first, the Girl did not recognize the Boy. His hair was a lot less shaggy and she a lot less shy. They exchanged phone numbers and the Girl left the store, thinking the Boy had grown up to be very handsome and it would be fun to hang out. The next day she received a call from the Boy, and they spent the day together...and the next day together...and the next day together...sadly the time came for the Girl to return back to Salt Lake. The two kept in touch through email for three weeks until the Girl couldn't take being away from her Boy any longer. She packed up her things and moved home.

Three months later the Boy took the Girl to her most favorite place, got down on one knee, and promised to make her the happiest Girl in the entire world. And that he did. They were married for time and all eternity on October 4th 2002. The Boy and the Girl are continuing to live happily ever after.

It has been five years since Jared and I were joined together in marriage.

Those years have been filled with happiness, sorrow, excitement, disappointment, laughter and tears...but most importantly, love.

There is no other person I would want as my companion on this journey through mortality.

Jared is my rock...the one who understands me more than I do myself...the one who gently encourages me to be better, to try harder.

I Love You Jared!

Happy (late) Anniversary! What would you have done without Williams sisters? ;) And you didn't mention anything about the boy's powder blue suit. (That was Jared, right?) LOL I think I still have a picture of the three of us at a dance with Tom Cruise or something. LOL Love you guys!
