Trick-or-Treat!

These past few days have been spent attending numerous Halloween festivities. We have enjoyed the creative costumes, eating all that yummy candy, and picking the perfect Jack-O-Lantern. Most of all though, we have enjoyed watching our little girl become so excited over "punkin's", "tweets", and her pretty "futterfy" wings.

This year Bella dressed up as a fairy.

Originally she was going to be a goldfish. I found a super cute costume online, and since Bella loves fish I thought it would be great.

Well the costume arrived, but Bella would have nothing to do with it. I couldn't even get her to try it on. So on to plan "B." I got online and found out how to make a tutu. It was super easy, didn't involve any sewing, and only cost me $8. My Mother-in-law bought the wings, and they matched perfectly(I know...she is amazing).

About two weeks before the big Halloween event we would have Bella try on her tutu and dance around the house just so she would get used to wearing it...and actually want to wear it. Then came the wings. That was a little trickier but soon enough she started to think those were pretty fun too.

Thankfully tonight went off without a hitch, and Bella loved wearing her costume.

Of course I must admit she was the prettiest fairy EVER!!!
