We are animal lovers...
A couple years before Bella was born I (Holly) had an intense need to nurture...anything. So we rescued our cat "Cassidy" from a local shelter. Shortly after that, Cassidy needed a friend...so along came "Kiko."
Then our dog "Ellie"joined the family. She was also rescued from a shelter.
(I wasn't joking when I said I had a NEED to nurture.)

Finally our sweet baby Bella was born.
Ellie had issues with separation anxiety and became somewhat volatile around other people. We didn't trust her around our daughter so unfortunately we had to find a new home for her.
After we moved into our condo we decided that having two cats was a bit over crowded, plus some concerns over allergies started to arise and we were heartbroken to have to find new homes for them too.
Now all we have are two very fat goldfish.
But let me tell you...it takes every ounce of self restraint not to bring home some sort of furry creature from the pet store.
So... anytime I can come up with an excuse to take Bella to go see some sort of wildlife, I'm all over it.
About 30 minutes from our home is a Reptile Museum. Apparently the largest in the Pacific North West. Since the weather earlier in the week was pretty glummy I thought this would be the perfect time to go.
Bella had a B-L-A-S-T!!!
It was so fun to watch my little girl get so giddy over all the snakes, huge tortoises, alligators, and lizards galore.

She has no fear!
That's my girl!

I'm laughing because I had the same need to nurture anything, so I started working at an animal hospital. I had to quit because i was bringing home too many animals!
My son is very impressed with your daughter holding that snake (and he's jealous, he desperately wants one!)
I love that last picture! And how fun that she isnt scared! We had a foster daughter like that. She LOVED animals, when she was little she would only play with stuffed animals and then when she got a little older she just loved to grab at all animals!
